Importantly, the Raspberry Pi 3 is still as cheap as the model it’s replacing. And it’s still equipped with four USB ports, an HDMI out, an ethernet port, Micro SD card slot, VideoCore IV 3D graphics core, and a 3.5mm audio jack. But now it also comes standard with Bluetooth 4.0 and 802.11n WiFi — on top of a faster 1.2GHz 64-bit quad-core ARMv8 processor — built right into the same exact form factor as before. At less than the price of most peripherals (and despite the fact that you’ll probably need some to run it, or at least get it running) this new Pi works fantastic as the brain for various projects.
